Fox Doors Review

This is a honest 100% accurate review of my experience with Fox Doors based out of Vaughan, Ontario.

A warning for anyone looking for a new garage doors.

I placed an order with Fox Doors (foxdoors.ca) on Saturday for a specific style door with everything installed. Delivery/install was about a week, ok great. Deposit was sent at the same time via etransfer.

Monday, they tell me that the door I want is not available and won't be for at least 4 weeks+ vs what the order install date was supposed to be. Basically they wouldn't even commit to any date when I could get the door installed. They said the machine making the door shapes is broken without eta on a fix. They tried to push a flash panel on me which I didn't want. I asked if any other styles of doors is available, none were available because machine is broken.

Now, this is a big issue because it's beginning of November and the door is going on a new build few hours north of Toronto. If I wait for the door that I ordered it would mean mid/late December or even January since they wouldn't give me a date. Snow is starting to fall there already and I sure don't want my new garage with a few feet of blown in snow and freezing temperatures. I told them that I'll have to think things over.

I started search for someone else and was able to find someone that could do it for me. I placed an order with the new installers. Same day, that's Wednesday just 2 days after they told me what I ordered is not available, I asked to cancel the order. Now they say that they'll move me ahead of 60 clients because those clients aren't in a rush and get the door I ordered faster. Total BS of course. Move 60 clients just for me? Please.

These guys are now holding my almost $1000 deposit and are refusing to return it.

Threatening me with lawyers and police if I leave bad reviews. "see you in court" they said, sure let's go, I have bank records and messages to prove everything.

These guys are nothing but crooks and liars. What kind of a business would not return a deposit in this situation.

Now they are saying that they ordered the opener from the US and had to pay tariffs. What a joke. What kind of a garage door company orders openers from another country for each customer installation. Of course this is more BS. They have a shelf full of openers that they just grab for each installation. It has not cost them anything.

A friend posted on FB marketplace about this for me (I'm not on FB) They messaged him saying I waited 2 weeks to cancel. Nothing but lies from these guys.

These guys are all over FB marketplace and kijiji. They have a ton of resellers there posting all over southern Ontario. It's easy to spot if you are talking with one of their resellers, they usually have a picture of fox doors business card in front of some garage door. Also, they will not take your order, instead tell you to call "Dan" "he'll take care of you" . Yes, he sure took care of me and my money.

Hey foxdoors, return my money!

So again, avoid fox doors for your garage doors at all costs. Liars. Crooks.
